Josiah is 7 Months!

Tomorrow our sweet little guy will turn 7 months old. Where has that time gone? I cannot believe all of his new skills and how quickly he’s changing recently, almost as much as I cannot believe that we’ve been chasing these two around non-stop for over half a year now.

In the last month, Josiah has began to babble “dada” and other consonant sounds almost constantly, is beginning to scoot himself to toys that he wants, mastered solids and drinking from a sippy cup, and his first tooth just broke through yesterday. His favorite thing to do is watch his sister and bang his toys on whatever he can. He loves to be sung to and be tickled, peek-a-boo is a current favorite, he’s beginning to like books and he loves his bouncer. He’s now sleeping through the night most every night (score!) and is just as adorable as ever. He just made his first trip to visit family two weeks ago where he was able to meet grandparents and great-grandparents for the first time, and also visit Aunt Mandi’s graveside; which is such a treasured and emotional moment.

Addisyn can make Josiah smile or laugh more easily than anyone else, but he has total eyes for Daddy recently.  He looks for Daddy when he wakes up and throughout the day, and when Daddy arrives he instantly lights up. It’s such a sweet bond they have; my two boys. Nothing is sweeter than watching all three of them play and love on each other. My heart could not be more full. Justin and I will celebrate our 12th wedding anniversary this weekend. What sweetness the past 12 years have provided us. I love you sweets.

Our girl has been busy tumbling and dancing, learning, playing, and enjoying summer. Recently, the heat has made us head inside to seek out indoor fun, so she’s been channeling her artistic side by painting, coloring, and sculpting lots of play-dough. She’s been enjoying her first Olympics, and hanging and flipping on almost everything in our house because of said Olympics. We’ve had to replace evening walks with evening ice cream/popsicle dates to beat the heat, but that doesn’t get a lot of complaining from anyone currently. We’re getting ready to say goodbye to summer around here and bring on the fall fun. It’s almost time for football and pumpkin everything!
