Life Keeps Moving: Addy’s 2 year update, Josiah’s 3 month update.
Well, here we are again, a few weeks past time for an update, but what can I say? I spend my days keeping two little people alive! The days are passing rapidly and we’ve been busy cramming fun in every single moment. Addisyn successfully turned two and her “Happy Birthday Donut Party” as she so adamantly named it was a great time! Thanks to all who helped celebrate Addy turning 2 and making it so special for her. She’s talked about her party ever since, and she’s delighted to now be a “big girl!” Speaking of big girls, she has so easily transitioned to her big girl bed among taking…

Hey Addy, What’s New? You’re TWO (almost!)
Where do I begin? In two short days my favorite girl in the world will turn TWO! My little best friend, a piece of my heart beating outside of my chest, is growing before my very eyes. You made me a mother and allowed me to experience love from a perspective and depth I had never known. You’ve taught me so much in the last two years. You’ve made me a better me by allowing me to love and laugh with you. So what do I say when you turn two? I say, “you’re amazing!” I’m still amazed at how my love grows for you daily. You are so…

Little Moments
The past 6 weeks have been a blur; a wonderful chaotic blur. The days are passing so much faster than I remember when bringing Addisyn home. However, I’m sure that’s because life is much busier chasing an almost two-year-old and also caring for a newborn. Still, I wouldn’t have it any other way. The days are spent wearing many hats as a mother, chef, nurse, maid, and playmate among others. Between the household chores and baby cuddles there’s many tea parties, play dates, dance sessions, art lessons, and laughs with my girl. Needless to say, there’s never a dull moment and I can’t believe my little guy is already nearing 7…

A Perfect Chaos
It has been 5 weeks since I logged on and wrote letters to each of my loves as we anxiously awaited the arrival of our new addition to our family! During that hiatus, we have fallen head over heels in love with our new little guy! Josiah Steven was born on January 19, 2016 at 8:08AM weighing 8 lbs 12.8 oz and 21 inches long! Life has been nothing short of amazing as we have transitioned to a family of four. Addisyn adores her little brother and proudly bears the title of big sister. Justin is his ever awesome self and has helped out and taken amazing care of us…

Letters to my Loves on the Eve of Our Family Changing
To my daughter, on the eve of our family changing. Addisyn, Tomorrow, we will welcome your baby brother. You are so excited to be a big sister, and you understand as well as a 21-month-old can what that means. For the last almost two years, you have been my every waking moment, my every dreaming thought, my total personal agenda, and my best little friend. You have brought so much joy to our lives, and have given your father and I feelings of happiness that we never knew existed. You are quite simply the most amazing little creation I’ve ever met. Though you won’t remember our time together as a simply a…

Addisyn just wants to “Go fast!”
Soon after Addisyn was born we purchased a Buick Enclave as my new mommy ride. We instantly fell in love with the third row seating, extra space for strollers, toys, the pup, and all those millions of things new parents end up carrying around. (Where does this stuff come from?!) It was only fitting that with the impending arrival of Josiah, that we upgraded Justin to an appropriate daddy ride. After looking at SUVs for months, we finally decided on the new Honda Pilot for Justin. When we arrived at the dealership to test drive and choose the model we wanted, I sat Addisyn in the front seat while we looked over…

Beautiful Girl in a Red Dress
Christmas 2015 has came and sadly gone! We had an amazing Christmas season and were sad to pack up all the lights and trees that Addy was so infatuated with. She still asks me daily, “Where’s the Christmas tree?!” It was a busy and great season for us. Addy got visits from several family members and Nana and Papa stayed a week with us. I may or may not have decided with less than three weeks left of this pregnancy that I wanted to fully re-do our downstairs front living room to create a first floor play room, and also install the kitchen island that we had been thinking over since…

Standing Your Post
With Christmas being less than two weeks away, even if we are experiencing the warmest Christmas season I ever remember… (Hello! Where’s the coldness, the cozy fire, and the hopes for snow?)…I find myself thinking ahead of 2016. Of course I am! We are 4 weeks and some odd days before the arrival of our little man and that paves the way for thinking forward to next year and reflecting on this past year. 2015 has brought amazing times for our family, and 2016 brings with it the anticipation of a new arrival to complete our family and many exciting memories to be made. This past year has seemed to fly…

Something about her Spirit!
The countdown continues, just over five weeks left until the arrival of our little man! With the rush of the holiday season, it seems to be going by so fast. I guess I should be grateful for that at the end of my pregnancy. We are preparing Addisyn that the baby in mommy’s belly will be coming out soon, she’s understanding about as well as any 1 1/2 year old can. Although Addisyn is not your typical 1 1/2 year old! There is something about her… something inside of her that captivates people. I know, I know. I’m her mother, so I don’t get to say that without a certain amount of…

That Twinkle…That Glow!
Wow! Another month in the books, another few weeks crossed off the countdown to our baby boy. Time is flying in a private jet, it seems! We are less than 7 weeks away from meeting our main man and we are busy preparing and trying to wrap our brains around what it will be like growing to a family of four. We are so very blessed! Everywhere we go, everything we do, we are reminded of the gifts the Lord has given us and I am so thankful to be right here, right now! The house is full of the twinkle of lights, that Addisyn is truly infatuated with! The stockings are hung by…
