    October 4, 2023 /

I feel like I’ve been writing this post for years in my head. Which is actually perfect because I made a promise to myself two months ago to carve out time for writing, blogging, and painting amidst the chaos of life that is mothering and homeschooling three beautiful kiddos and keeping up with their busy firsts, fun, and lives, but I have yet to make good on that promise until…now. That was such a run-on sentence, but life feels a lot like that lately, so I’m keeping it. There’s just never enough time in the days. I create space and time for those things that are important to the other…

    Hall Family Update!

    April 24, 2023 /

Hi there, still Kristy…still here! Whew! Life has been busy! Good busy, crazy busy, fun busy, tiring busy, hectic busy, basically just all the things busy! We’re over here chasing our newly 9-year-old, newly 7-year-old and 21-month-old! Mom life, homeschool life, every day life; that continuous nonstop hustle. It’s all there, and it’s all crazy, wonderful, and beautiful with a bunch of chaos mixed in between. I learned in the last few months that there are still things to learn and growth in this Mama journey that continues. The primary lesson for me personally recently is that I incapable of giving 100% of my attention to 100% of the things…

    Welcome Baby Hall #3!

    March 13, 2022 /

It’s been a while, intentionally, and it’s oh so good to be back! We are OVERJOYED to share what we’ve been up to the last 7 months! We’ve grown, by TWO FEET! Our family welcomed our baby boy Rhett Isaiah Hall into the world July of 2021. We have spent every second since his birth delving deep into the depths of parenthood to 3 babes…and wow… have we been busy falling deep in love with this little guy! As most of you know, our dreams of adoption began to be fulfilled when we connected last March with our birth mother, and a whirlwind of events carried us to his birth…

    Josiah is SIX!

    March 13, 2022 /

Say it isn’t so, somehow Josiah turned SIX in January. Josiah Steven, you are what helped me learn the definition of a force to be reckoned with. You are bold, passionate, loving, and tender. You are strong, and brilliant, but also crazy and wild. We love your spirit, even if it tests our parenting often. You are the most loving child. I’m not sure if you’ll always treat me like a princess, but man your love for your Momma is so fierce and you can be such a sweetheart when you love me so boldly. That being said, Daddy hung the moon and stars. The two of you together… it’s…

    Motherhood /ˈməT͟Hərˌho͝od/

    February 27, 2022 /

Motherhood /ˈməT͟Hərˌho͝od/ What is it? Oxford dictionary defines motherhood /moTHer(h)ood/ as the “state of being a mother.” It looks different for us all.  It doesn’t have to have similarity.  It isn’t one size fits all. It isn’t easy.  It isn’t futile.  It comes with the most complexity.   I wasn’t a person who planned for my life as being a mother.  I spent my 20’s getting all the education and experience I could in order to devote my life to counseling, therapeutic treatment, case management, and education.  I made plans for that… with big strong desires.  I studied and worked in that world for 10 years before I became a…

God’s Truth isn’t Always the Same as Mans

    June 23, 2021 /

God’s truth isn’t always the same as mans. Read that again. The Holy Spirit has strongly dealt with my heart and the revelation of His truth in my life. If you have been hurt, let down, left out, disappointed, or unforgiven by friends, family, the church, people, your past… let me tell you… you are not meant to continue to live in those dark places. That’s not the Father’s will for you. Your worth is not found in reviewing your track record, someone else’s actions or opinions, or past hurts or judgements. Free yourself from taking on those opinions of yourself. God’s truth for you is joy, God’s truth for…

I Will Clean Up Your Crumbs…

    June 9, 2021 /

I will Clean Up Your Crumbs I will clean up your crumbs… one day you won’t need me to… but for now I will clean up your crumbs, and then clean them up again.  I will clean up your boo-boo’s and clean up your hands…  I’ll do my best to clean up your heart when you’re sad,  And I’ll clean up your clothes, and your room time and time again.  Because in between… when you get to make the mess… have the fun…  play in the dirt… play in the sand…that’s where you’re thriving.  That’s where you’re worry free for just a little moment.   That’s where the magic of…

    Jumping for JOY

    May 1, 2021 /

Hi friends! It’s been a while since I’ve updated here, as we have been very busy as a family once again. 2021 brings with it new changes, beautiful changes, busy changes once again for our family. The past few months we have been knee deep in paper work, social workers, and preparations for our INFANT ADOPTION in case you’ve missed the news! We’re super excited to announce that we are pursuing an infant adoption, and have connected with a birth mother due in JULY 2021! We have seen God move BIG in our connection, as well as other ways of provision over this journey. We are very grateful! We feel…

Sometimes there is MORE in Less

    March 4, 2021 /

The past year has been a whirlwind. Lots of uncertainty mixed with heightened political and social tensions in our world combined with a pandemic that has changed the way of life over the past year has sent most of us in survival mode. I purposely distanced myself from social media and spent many months focusing on being intentional with my time. Ironically, when life was the most calm it’s been in years, my days and to-do lists still stretched far into the night. I’ve been more absent on social media and more present in my life. In 2020, our family experienced lots of changes in addition to those caused by…

    Changes

    April 28, 2020 /

I have a confession, I really don’t mind change, but I really dislike the uncertainty that goes along with change. Sometimes, you need a restart, a refresh, that’s the kind of change I’m okay with. Other changes in life can be unexpected, overwhelming, rapid changes that take away your breath in good or bad ways. Those are the changes I enjoy far less. Regardless, change is necessary and unavoidable. We’ve went through a lot of changes recently. The death of my beloved grandmother, a move, the whole world being crazy with Covid-19 quarantine and the way that’s changing every facet of life…. those are the overwhelming changes in life. My…
