Intentional Living

Four and Fabulous!

March came, and went. We partied, we celebrated, we had fun! I was not in front of the computer screen writing as much as I would have liked to be; however I was busy enjoying life.  We enjoyed many things in March; the late winter snow that came a few times, dinners with friends that are more like family, ice cream dates, trips to the movies, the kick off of soccer season, starting our indoor seedlings, St. Patrick’s day playdates, game nights, and finally Addisyn’s 4th birthday festivities!

To think that my first-born, my baby girl, is now 4-years-old is almost surreal.  Time is passing so fast, and while she’s so young and tiny, she’s so very big and grown to me! I love her mind and imagination, the way she loves others and how caring she is, I love her heart for Jesus and the beginnings of her real and independent relationship with Him. I love her love for the beach, her love for her friends, her love for books, her love for her brother and her Daddy, her love for dance, and her love for sometimes just staying home in pajamas all day (a girl after my own heart!).  She’s a good mix of funny and serious, she likes to laugh and is able to laugh at herself, and she captivates every good thing I can imagine in one breathtaking smile with her beautiful blue-eyes glaring up at me. I’m so thankful to be her mother, and I desperately wish I could freeze her right here, where she is right now, innocent and full of joy and happiness. May she always be full of those things.

For her birthday, she requested a magical unicorn party. So Mommy and Daddy obliged. We partied magical unicorn style at her favorite place: The Little Gym.  We had magical cupcakes, unicorn decorations, and tons of our friends for a blast of a time at the Little Gym. There was running, jumping, hanging, laughing, singing, and fabulous fun.  What I loved most about her party was that each kid was able to come and have a blast just enjoying being kids! Addy loved having all her buddies gathered in one place with room to roam at her favorite spot. There were balloons, cake, presents, pals, and exhausted babies at the end of the night.

On her actual birthday, Addy got to pick the events of the day. She chose to go to the trampoline park, take a trip to Target to spend her birthday gift card, and have lunch at Moe’s (one of her favorite restaurants). That evening we had unicorn cake, and partied again with a movie night and popcorn. It was a magical 4th birthday. She rounded out her birthday celebration by having cupcakes at school the next day, where she chose pink cupcakes to share with all her buddies. I would say she had a fabulous time turning four and celebrations galore!

Addy,

May you always be so full of life. May you always be as kind, thoughtful, caring, imaginative, creative, care-free, loving, and as vibrant as you are right now at four years old. May you be brave, courageous, and bold. May your blue eyes never lose their wander for the world around them, and may you always find the good in every person and situation. We love you bug! And we love watching you grow! Happy 4th birthday!

Love,

Mommy, Daddy, Josiah & Gunner
