Intentional Living

Simply Glorious… and a Baby Bump Pic!

We are getting closer to the third trimester of this pregnancy, which equally excites and scares me! At almost 26 weeks, we have gotten the motivation to begin preparations to move Addy into her new big girl room and transform her nursery into Josiah’s own space. Our goal is to have all of this completed before the holidays that are quickly approaching, and that means painting. Painting is not my favorite task, although we’ve painted everything in our entire house, some rooms twice (sorry hubby)! While painting is tedious, there is also something relaxing about it to me, and something exciting about it when you’re preparing a space for your child. I am grateful to have a reason to be painting yet again!

(By the way… Check out this 25 week baby bump!)

25 weeks with Josiah

While working on painting Addy’s new room, and preparing a place for her, it dawned on me that this is the excitement and pleasure that God has over us.  He has prepared a place for us, and just as I can’t wait to unveil Addisyn’s new big girl room to her, the Lord delights in waiting for us to have our eternal living space revealed to us.  How awesomely amazing!

My heart has recently reflected on how “glorious” things are in life. In a recent reading in my quiet time with the Lord, I was reading a discussion about how valuable we are to Christ and how easily we can be transformed by the pressure of the world we live in.  It is SO EASY to get caught up in the mix of the world around us.  There’s always something to do, something to accomplish, something to achieve. All of those “somethings” can have an impact on how we feel about ourselves and how we treat others.  In short, when we immerse ourselves into the daily struggles of this world, we forget that we are called by Christ as His possessions to be more, to be magnificent, to be glorious. If we allow ourselves to be only as good as the world around us, we cheat ourselves and others of the truly glorious life that the Lord has designed for us. Remember, you are worth more!

Speaking of glorious things…here’s something glorious for your viewing pleasure!

Addisyn absolutely adores being outside. Her recent passion is crunching leaves, chasing butterflies, and soaking up all of the fall sunshine.  I look at her big blue eyes taking in all of the things around her and I smile at the fact that she has such passions as such a young age. I smile being thankful that I’m her mother, and that I can spend all these glorious moments with her each day. What glorious things are you thankful for? God bless each of YOU!
